CADA
Construction Zone
The following
residential projects are underway and will be continuing during
the month of June:
1500 N Street: This property is next on CADA’s list to receive a full paint to the exterior. The colors will be neutral, and will blend into the properties already in the neighborhood. We’re also re-building the Courtyard fence. Residents will be notified of the actual start date in advance.
1500 15th
Street: A little over a year ago we updated the plumbing in many of the bathrooms at the historic Auslander Building. We’re now ready to begin Phase 2 of the project, where we’ll complete the remainder of the apartments. Residents of nine apartments will need to relocate for three weeks during the project, so now’s the time to plan your summer vacation. We expect to start work on the first three apartments by the first week of June. Residents will be notified in advance.
1421 15th
Street: Summer is a good time to take care of major projects at our properties. While the weather is nice, we’ll be replacing the roof at Biele Place. It’s a big job, but residents should only be minimally inconvenienced by the construction. When we know the exact start date, we’ll post the property.

Community Policies Update
Rent Payments: In order to ensure that your rent is properly credited to your account, CADA residents are reminded that rent should be paid directly to the CADA office, either by dropping it in the drop-slot located outside the North set of doors facing 14th Street (no cash, please), or by bringing it inside the office during normal business hours and depositing it in the rent slot at the receptionist’s desk. CADA’s staff out in the field cannot accept rent, except in cases of extreme medical emergency. Your assistance in this matter is very much appreciated.
Doggone It: Please be reminded
that pets must be on a leash at all
times while on CADA property. Although
we know that many residents like to
allow their cats to roam, it’s really not
safe, and results in complaints from
other residents when the cats dig in the flower beds.
Thank you for your adherence to this community policy.

Tips
From "GreenYourApartment.org"
GreenYourApartment.org calls us certified Tree-Huggers if we do the following:
1. Two words: public transportation. At least twice a week you can swap out your car (even those great Prius’) for the bus, subway or light-rail and instantly reduce your carbon emissions. Plus less miles on your car means less up-keep, cheaper car insurance rates and less stress in traffic.
2. Go vegetarian for two dinners
a week. This reduces your impact
on the environment since it takes
an estimated 3 times the fossil
fuels to raise animals for meat
and over a whopping 30 times
the water! If just twice a week
you forgo the chicken, beef,
lamb or pork for, say, eggplant
parmesan with spaghetti marinara (sounds good, huh?) you’re helping reduce the impact of over-consumption.
