Development Description:
The proposed project includes 50 market-rate one and two bedroom apartment units, with balconies including 5th floor penthouse units.  The Gateway will be developed with materials and processes that leave a minimal carbon footprint, and provide net zero energy with minimal ground water use.

Status:

The CADA Board of Directors approved the Fourth Amendment to the Exclusive Negotiating Agreement (ENA) on December 14, 2012.  This ENA extends until February 22, 2013.

Location:
The site is located at the southeast corner of 16th and P Streets and is owned by CADA.  It is at the heart of a very lively and desirable neighborhood located north of Hot Italian, west of privately-managed apartments and south of The Fremont Building, which is home to Starbucks, Nishiki Restaurant, and Pronto, among other tenants.  It is across from Fremont Park, a very active neighborhood park which has regular community activities including a farmer’s market and family film nights.

Light Rail is located just one and a half blocks to the South.

Building Design:
