Affordable Midtown Living at SONRISA 1322 O Street, Sac, CA 95814

ACCEPTING APPLICATIONS STARTING SEPTEMBER 27th – Opening January 2023!

“Sonrisa” means smile in Spanish, and there’s a lot to smile about with this affordable mixed-use project.  Only a block away from the State Capitol Park, Sonrisa is at the epicenter of excellent Midtown and Downtown shopping, dining, job centers, and public transit options.

Sonrisa features 58 micro-unit apartment homes (270 SF) with high ceilings, ceiling fans, large windows, built-in sofa-wall bed and cabinets, and quality finishes. The 5-story building has a top floor deck and community kitchen, residents’ lounge and co-working space, bicycle storage room, and laundry room. There are also ADA units with visual communication features for fire alarm, smoke and carbon monoxide alerts, doorbell signals, and large bathrooms with grab bars and hand-held showerheads. All units are ADA adaptable.

Residents will also get a *free* SacRT transit pass. NOTE: There is no parking associated with the property and residents will not be eligible to rent parking spaces from CADA.

Sonrisa is the first ground-up cross-laminated timber (CLT) project in Sacramento. CLT is a mass timber product that sequesters carbon in solid form and keeps it from entering the atmosphere as CO2. It also has superior lateral load-resistance, seismic resilience, and thermal, energy, and fire performance. The building is also 100% electric and uses low water demand landscaping.
