Sonirisa Waitlist is Open
CADA’s leasing department is currently processing 152 apartment applications. “Processing” means the initial credit screening has been ran and the in-person intake appointments are being conducted to verify all the provided documents. However, we know from a preliminary review that even with the 152 applications, we currently still have openings for the studios at the 50% and 60% income levels.
We are also unable to offer leases to applicants for signature until Sonrisa has its certificate of occupancy, which is anticipated to be in place at the end of January. We recognize that some of our successful applicants may decide they are no longer interested in a February 2023 move-in.
Our requirement is to have the building fully occupied no later than March 1, 2023 and as such, it is important for us to maintain a healthy applicant pool of viable renters for each income level in the event that a current verified applicant chooses not to sign a lease.
CADA will keep the Sonrisa Waitlist open until we have 57 signed leases for the three income levels. For those who have signed up for the waitlist above and have not yet filled out a Sonrisa application, we will invite you to fill one out after the building has been leased up and when we have impending vacancies. Based on the income designation of the vacant apartment, we will likely contact the first 5-10 people on the waitlist when an apartment is available. We will then offer the apartment to the first fully processed application, so it will be advantageous for you to be prompt in providing your completed application and documents to our office.
